same. The handle unscrews from the head
of the razor.
#70 opens by popping the top off and
then putting the blade in and snap top back on
#178, #570, #198 open by unscrewing from
the bottom of the razor, there is a shaft in the handle that comes out

the bottom of the handle

Strop:
They are 15 x 1 Ύ and they are made
of German reindeer hide
The reverse side is linen
You strop to straighten the razor so it
will not drag while shaving. The razor
should be stropped before the stone to ensure the blade is properly aligned
before sharpening. The linen backing is
to warm the blade, via friction, prior to stropping. The strop paste is to be applied to the
leather side to keep it supple and from cracking.
It is made of hard Arkansas white stone and
it is 5 ½ x 1 ½ (stone only)--total length with handle is 12. The grit size is approximately 800-1000,
impossible to give definite grit size due to the fact that it is a natural
stone.
